How Long Does Orthodontic Treatment Take?

Most comprehensive orthodontic treatments take approximately 12–24 months, although treatment time varies depending on the patient's age, orthodontic needs, treatment approach, and individual response to treatment.

Several factors can help keep treatment progressing as planned:

Maintain good oral hygiene throughout treatment.
Continue regular dental visits with your general dentist.
Attend scheduled orthodontic appointments.
Wear rubber bands or other prescribed appliances as directed.
If using Invisalign® clear aligners, wear your aligners for at least 22 hours per day, unless otherwise instructed.
Let our team know if an appliance is broken, lost, uncomfortable, or not fitting properly.
